OUR STORY
In 2020, a conversation on The Earth-Sci Show with a leading blue-tech CEO highlighted a clear issue: today’s tools for seafloor mapping and subsea data acquisition are far too slow and limited. The ocean needs faster, smarter and cleaner innovation, urgently.
On arriving at Imperial College London, this gap in technology and subsea research became even more apparent to the team. In response, InX Tech was founded to leverage Imperial’s cutting-edge resources, global networks and industry partnerships to develop AUVs designed to transform how we explore and understand the ocean.
We've lived and breathed the idea every day since.
Fast forward to today: InX Tech is a team of exceptional problem-solvers spanning geophysics, robotics, electrical and mechanical engineering. Backed by VCs, seasoned mentors, industry experts, offshore energy developers and two climate-tech accelerators.
We are not just building AUVs. We are pioneering the next generation of subsea technology - rapidly prototyping, relentlessly innovating and scaling to redefine how humanity explores, protects and understands the ocean.
UNIFIED BY OUR MISSION TO MAP THE ENTIRE OCEAN FLOOR.
OUR TEAM

Aryan Shah
CEO
Aryan has been dreaming about mapping the ocean floor every day for the last 5 years. Holding a Master’s in Geophysics from Imperial College London, with an obsession to map the ocean, he spent 6 weeks at sea mapping the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Aryan has experience in acquiring, processing and interpreting complex seabed and subsurface data. He worked at the Karman Space Programme and is the winner of the UKSA's SateLife 2022 Challenge. He brings both his business and technical skills to the team, continuously pushing the vision forward.

Andrew Boyd
COO
Andy brings a wealth of experience in mechanical engineering and finance having designed and built his own rocket engines before university, continuing on to build fuel injectors at the Karman Space Programme and inevitably spending more time designing AUVs than on lectures. He dropped out of Imperial to pursue building the greatest survey technology in the world and now runs a tight ship at InX Tech by managing the detailed operations of the engineering team.

Sam Stobart
COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR
Sam has relentlessly pursued his understanding of the ocean and its energy systems, having spent 5 years at ENI travelling the world designing and installing underwater energy infrastructure. With an MSc in Climate Science and Finance from Imperial College London, and previous experience as a founder of a residential energy business. He brings a wealth of entrepreneurial spirit and experience.
